Project 03 - The Clubhouse
How AI helped speed up the process
This year we worked on a Loyalty App for a company in the UK called The Clubhouse, and we experimented to find ways that AI can help us work faster.
To me, AI works best as an assistant to a product designer, yet its output is only as useful as the brief it's given. Providing enough context upfront is essential to getting a genuinely helpful result.
Skills Involved:

Context on The Clubhouse project
In this instance, I started by designing a basic style for the home screen myself, then used AI to suggest what should appear on the other screens in that flow, based on that established style. From there, I analyse the suggestions, decide what's actually worth using, and refine it further. AI as a tool to speed up early exploration, not a shortcut past design thinking itself.

How I briefed AI:
Here is what I give AI as a brief, with the screens it gave me, so you see the detail I get into:
I have recently designed a home screen for a business's loyalty app. An app that will reward recurring customers with a percentage cash-back that displays on the home screen at the top right in the design attached. Now I need to design the following additional screens:
The 'your vouchers' flow. Once the user clicks on the "YOUR VOUCHERS" block on the home screen, it will display 3 different available vouchers. If the user then clicks on the first voucher, it shows a voucher description and a QR code below it with a back button. The following screen will be a loading screen that shows the request is being processed. After that, a success screen with a redemption summary, As well as an Oops state screen that will show if the payment fails
