Project 03 - Small Merchant Loyalty
Heuristic Evaluation of Onboarding flow
Small Merchant Loyalty is one of Yoyo's newest products (you can watch the video for a brief overview of the product)
We decided to improve the user experience during the onboarding flow by performing a Heuristic analysis for insight. I led our product team through the process and summarised our findings to implement into tasks.

Our problem - What can we do better?
A heuristic evaluation is a method in which a designer, or a small group of colleagues, reviews an interface against a set of established usability principles, rather than testing it with real users (this helps if you don't have a budget).
We go through each screen or flow and flag where the design aligns or contradicts with these principles. It's a great addition to the process because it's fast, cheap, and can be done at almost any stage. It can't fully replace testing with real users, but it's helps to sharpen a design before it ever reaches them.

Brief User Journey Context
Here is a very brief glimpse of the registration flow we analysed as a team to find ways to improve the user experience. The majority of users complete it on desktop, so we focused on the desktop journey during analysis.
